Tools You Need for the Perfect Cup of Camp Coffee

When you are sick and tired of being surrounded by a bunch of buildings in the city for a while, you may instantly feel like packing your things and travelling right away. Especially when you are a camp lover, as well as a super coffee-holic, you may need to consider the right tools to take. We try and pack light when we camp — definitely when we’re backpacking and canoe-camping, but even when we’re car-camping.

The coffee kits and tips introduced by ‘backroadramblers’ include plastic filter cone, cone filter papers, pre-ground coffee and a mug. Coffee kits seem small, but powerful. In addition to their recommendation, here’s some of the things we would suggest you to take to make seriously good coffee while camping :

① Cafflano Kompact

This is a ‘pressing-style’ coffee maker that has a compact brewing chamber. You can pour hot water over the coffee grounds in the chamber, close the filter and wait 2-3 minutes. Afterwards, put it on top of the cup and extract the coffee and voila! You may enjoy a much denser coffee than regular drip coffee without having much to do, using a brewing chamber with less friction and stainless-steel micro-filter.

② Minipresso

MinipressoThe sleek, compact, and lightweight design, Minipresso GR features a semi-automatic piston capable of extracting espresso at a proper pressure of 8 bars, yet it’s small enough to fit in your backpack or suitcase while on the road.

As far as hand-powered portable espresso makers go, this is a tough one to beat, making it possible for you to pump out a shot of rich, foamy espresso anywhere, anytime.

③ Mini Coffee Press

미니커피프레스The Mini Coffee Press is the world’s most portable coffee maker we have ever seen. The manual coffee maker measures 4 x 16.5 x 4cm,  it shows off an ultra compact and low-profile design, so you can easily store it in your pocket or bag and brew a cup of coffee anytime you want. You don’t need to use a separate filter, which makes it easier to clean

④ Pascal Press

파스칼Unlike French Press that typically requires 4-5 minutes of steeping for optimal coffee extraction, after which the liquid should be removed from the press to prevent over brewing, Pascal Press is able to achieve a high quality brew in under a minute by using pressure. Thanks to it’s double chamber design, the Pascal Press separates your coffee from the grounds right after you brew – meaning no bitterness and consistent quality till the last drop.

⑤ cafflano klassic

카플라노This is an all-in-one coffee maker that includes a drip kettle, hand-mill grinder, stainless filter dripper and a termal mug. It is compact enough for you to take for any kind of trips.
